Sketch for a Miniature Landscape

LandscapeSketch0107.jpg

This is a little thumbnail sketch for a miniature landscape painting I have started working on. It is a little western landscape (or waterscape ). I took a hike back in the wild areas near Yellowstone National Park & followed this splashing stream for a bit as the sun started to go down. The autumn leaves were just past peak, giving a nice crispy brown color in a few places. I just loved the long shadows and rich color of the landscape.Rebecca Latham | Wildlife Artist
