This is a new young wolf painting that has just come off the easel. It is an unusual pose, so I thought it would be a nice challenge. The first scan is the beginning watercolor sepia stage of the piece.
This is the final painting. It is watercolor on board (and traditional miniature, of course). I thought that grasses around him would help to move the eye around the piece, etc., so I put them in last minute.
Rebecca,
Love the young Wolf! Love the pose and the grasses… As always, you're amazing!
All the best~

Your latest work is amazing as always. I can hardly wait to see what you will do next.
Restlessly waiting,
Rebecca, i was looking for some great paintings of wolves to use in my art project at school this year (9th grade) and i found yours and thought it was amazing!!! all of them are amazing!! i love animals (especially wolves) and the way you paint them all is so cool because they all look so realistic! i chose this painting (although there are so many others which i had trouble chosing from) because its a cute little wolf pup :) <3 unforutnatelly, i could only paint a portion of the painting so i chose the eye (the wolf's left eye) because wolf eyes are always so intense no matter what they are doing! keep on painting animals because you are really great at it! -Megan
really gorgeous! i love this one!
you’re really amazing! :)
