This is the third floral painting I’ve completed recently. I think I should start a few more…
This is another painting that was inspired from the Minnesota Arboretum. I loved touring the grounds there.
In the evening during our last visit (last spring), there was a group of plein aire oil painters setting up to work. Some of them had half of the gardens painted on their canvases by the time I was leaving the grounds. It would have been quite an experience to have joined them. :D

SO pretty! The back lighting on this one is so perfect. You did a great job. I had to do a floral recently too…..just to remind myself that spring IS coming, as we are part of what they are calling "the big dig out" here in the DC area!
:) There really should be a rainbow iris…the colors are AMAZING!
