Whitetail Buck Painting

I just completed this new Whitetail buck miniature painting, pictured here in both sepia and the finished stages.  The watercolor painting is 5×7.

It was awesome seeing this buck at close range.  It seemed that no matter how he stood in front of me, that he was holding a majestic pose.  I haven’t painted many adult deer, so I was eager to work through this piece.  …and with the small size of the painting, it went rather smoothly…so perhaps I will start a larger one sometime here as well.. :D
