Artwork

Q:  What medium do you use?

A:  All of Rebecca’s recent paintings are watercolors unless specifically marked otherwise.

Q:  What surface do you paint on?

A:  Rebecca uses hotpress illustration board.   The brand of board (and in some cases, paper) can vary.

Q:  What brushes are used?

A:  Rebecca uses both natural and synthetic brushes, varying in brand.  Sharp pointed brushes for detail are preferred.

Q:  I have seen Rebecca mention paintings with silver or gold on her site or in social media.  What is this?

A:  Often Rebecca adds accents of sterling sliver or 24kt gold to her paintings.  These ‘paints’ are ground silver or gold (making them pigments, essentially) combined with a binder and formed into a cake for use.  See this link for more information: https://lathamstudios.com/rebecca/2014/01/sterling-silver-and-24kt-gold/

Q:  Do you teach classes, offer instructional books, sell DVDs?

A:  Not at this time.  Currently galleries, shows, and collectors keep Rebecca’s schedule full.  If anything is offered in the future, it will be announced on her site and social media profiles.

Q:  Where can Rebecca’s artwork be seen?

A:  Rebecca’s paintings are on exhibit for the public at any of the galleries listed here: https://lathamstudios.com/rebecca/galleries/ or at any of the exhibits listed here: https://lathamstudios.com/rebecca/events-2/

Q:  How can I inquire about the purchase of a painting?  Are all of these for sale?

A:  Rebecca’s post series “Peek in the Studio” are brand new releases that are available direct from the studio or marked where they are available.  These are available by sending a message or email to make arrangements for purchase and reserve them.  Paintings are reserved on a first come first served basis.  Earlier pieces are often available through the gallery or exhibit where they are showing.  Please contact the representing gallery for information on works in their collection.

Q:  Can I commission a custom painting?

A:  Rebecca accepts a limited number of commissions as time and scheduling allows.  Message or email for more information.

Q:  I saw a painting I liked, are prints available of it?

A:  Some of Rebecca’s paintings are available in signed limited edition giclee print.  Newer works are planned to be available as signed limited edition giclees in the future.
