It\u2019s National Wildlife Week, a celebration of the wildlife that surrounds us.<\/p>\n
While wildlife enthusiasts find this a happy time, reports of another bald eagle shooting appears in newsfeeds.\u00a0 This time it\u2019s in\u00a0Forks, Washington<\/a> – 2 Bald Eagles, an adult male and male juvenile, are found dead.\u00a0 The bald eagle is protected by national laws<\/a> in the United States, and has fought its way off the endangered species list<\/a>.<\/p>\n What makes this happen?\u00a0 Misplaced anger, lack of respect for wildlife, are these people unknowledgeable?\u00a0 I can only wonder about a cause.\u00a0 For those who find so much value from nature, this is disgusting.\u00a0 To me and many others, our wildlife is priceless.<\/p>\n I know most of those who connect with me online feel the same way. \u00a0The only remedy I can imagine for the future of our vulnerable wildlife is education.\u00a0 Encouraging respect for others, human and otherwise, so that both can prosper.<\/p>\n Hopefully the power of attention, and sharing through broadcast and social media helps lead to information in finding the misguided shooter in Forks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It\u2019s National Wildlife Week, a celebration of the wildlife that surrounds us.
