I finished this wolf painting, "Defensive", not too long ago – it’s a 9"x12" miniature piece that you may have seen ‘in progress’ here on the blog earlier.
I know that many of these web images online just don’t show the detail of the watercolors – so for this one, I posted a larger image crop. I just love painting fur like this, especially the textures and blends of color.
The painting debuted at Galleries West in Jackson, Wyoming and is now in a private collection.
i wonder how come u made it………teach me…….ma’m
I love your work! Stunning detail and obviously painted with passion and love. Thank you for caring about wildlife too – without the beautiful creatures that we love and adore, this earth would a wasteland.
Wow. This picture is absolutely amazing. I love how much detail you put into your paintings, especially with the fur. It’s something I’ve wanted to learn how to do since I started drawing and painting. I adore animals, and your painting is gorgeous without a doubt.
I am in awe of your wonderful paintings…….the fur on this Wolf is brilliant…thanks for sharing your work.

Dear Rebecca,
I’m only 14 years old and i love to paint and draw. I thought i was pretty good. But when i saw your art work i almost want to cry. It is indeed the most detailed, colorful paintings Ive ever seen. I told my mom that I want to be just like you when i grow up. You HAVE inspired me with your passion to paint wildlife, so therefor i plan to go to collage for a art degree.
