This is another one of my floral pieces that were just completed – a waterlily from sunken aquatic garden at the conservatory in Saint Paul that I visit occasionally. This was a very fun piece to paint. The cupped shaped petals, glowing pink in the depths of the blossom from the sun streaming down, and intense golden center…all set off by accents of blue reflected from the clear sky. Simply beautiful. …and had to be painted. :)
The painting is 5×7, watercolor on board (and painted in miniature of course).
oooooh, lovely! I can almost touch its silky petals…glee!
Just amazing!!!!!
Gorgeous work Rebecca! You paint flowers as well as you do animals!!
