Large Cougar Watercolor Painting

I was in an accident a while back, some of my blog visitors may have heard, it was an incident with an overly playful cougar about a year ago.  The event slowed me down a bit with my injuries and pulled muscles, but everything turned out fine (thankfully).  …am very cautious around cougars now. ;)

This is a painting in progress of the cougar that attacked me – the watercolor painting is 24×36.  Rebecca Latham | Wildlife Artist

Glad you’re Ok! I read about you wrestling with the cougar- don’t be playing with something that much bigger than you :) Seriously though, I’m glad you’re ok.

    Hi Kenneth,

Well, I originally was just trying to study cougar for some future paintings when it happened. I thought "why not?" …that I might as well do the painting of it anyway.

    Thanks :D

I’m glad that you are all well now. Interesting that you did a painting of the cougar. It should be ashamed of itself for attacking you.

    Thanks Pieter,

I am often stalked by cougars when I visit wildlife facilities where they are kept in captivity – primarily because I’m usually the smallest in the group. …the cat’s natural hunting instincts.
