This morning we ran around downtown a little bit. I visited my painting at Trailside Galleries — I am participating in the Paco Young benefit exhibition being held there this month. I was delighted to hear my painting was purchased this morning by a client from town! Please visit Paco’s website for information about various fundraisers and how he is doing (www.pacofriendsforlife.com). And, of course, we had to drop by our galleries (www.gallerieswestjacksonhole.com) to say our goodbyes before leaving — at least until next month :).
Throughout the rest of the day we had a series of mini photoshoots in the National Elk Refuge, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park (where we encountered a rain/snow/hail storm that dropped the temperature by 20 degrees and gave us a beautiful double rainbow!!). :) It’s always so beautiful out here! I can’t wait to start some more paintings!!
I’ve taken a little break this morning — watching some of the wildlife along a creek near where we’re staying here in Jackson. There are some ducklings that have been swimming up and down the creek diving for lunch.
I have been working all day in the gallery (Galleries West Fine Art) painting on my coyote painting. I think it’s starting to, well, look finished. I am trying to get the piece finished before we leave Jackson — we’ll see how fast I can paint!! (I’ll be working on the painting in my hotel/studio also.)
I have just about finished my horse and foal painting as you can see by the image posted left. It’s an 8×16 sized painting. I will be framing it up for our show reception tomorrow at Galleries West in Jackson Hole, WY :) (www.gallerieswestjacksonhole.com).
My family and I are in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for our show at Galleries West Fine Art. We scheduled to be painting in the gallery from 1-5pm every day during the exhibit. This is the first day of our "painting sessions". I just started a painting of wild horses this afternoon — a mother and foal walking through sage brush. It’s going well so far. :)
I am just about finished with my new bison painting. I have been working on the piece on the way to our show in Jackson, WY. :)
